No one shall kill or cause to be killed a bird.
(2) For the purpose of sub-section (1), a person who is walking, traveling in a vehicle or in a public place, knowingly or unknowingly takes cash or property from his wallet or a bag, bag or any other means with him, shall be deemed to have committed theft. However, if ten thousand rupees in cash or property worth more than ten thousand rupees is stolen, it will be deemed to have committed an offense under section 241.
(3) A person who commits an offense under sub-section (1) shall be punished as follows:-
(a) For the first time, imprisonment for a term which may extend to one month or fine as per Vigo or both,
(b) Imprisonment for a term which may extend to two months from the second time, or with fine, or both. 246 a. Additional punishment and payment of compensation:
